Check out pianist Mark Stephens’ awesome debut album “The Dream of the Peaceful Warrior”! Is a colorful collection of Mark’s own compositions of temporary jazz songs, featuring various artists such as Chaka Khan, Andrae Crouch, Take 6, Jonathan Butler, Marcus Miller, Boney James… and of course himself on piano!
“Inspired by the life lessons and life legacies of Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Nelson Mandela, “The Dream of The Peaceful Warrior” is the debut album of Mark Stephens, an a-list member of the jazz and pop road warrior elite whose multi-dimensional keyboard work has anchored concerts around the world for superstars in every genre.”
Mark did a very clever move to promote his debut album; prior to the release of the full album, he gave away copies of the single “To the Mountaintop” for free. I was a bit hesitant myself, as I never cared much about Jazz music before, but was still curious about this great pianist’s own music. He totally convinced me, when I got the single after the “Straight to you”-show. Now I’m addicted to the great feel-good-songs of Mark’s musical peace project. You can buy and preview the songs yourself on CDbaby or on his own website! You can even listen to the song ”Sseesamirembe” to a great Interview with Mark about his album here.
